Get Involved and Become Part of Our Mission

Volunteering with the Happiness Foundation is a rewarding experience where you can directly contribute to our projects and see the positive outcomes of your efforts.

A Helping Hand Goes a Long Way

Share Your Time & Help as a Volunteer

One of our most popular volunteering initiatives is the Community Kitchen, where we come together every 2nd and 4th Sunday of the month to prepare meals for those in need. Another favourite is our English Classes, held every 1st and 3rd Saturday of the month, where we teach English to underprivileged children, empowering them with valuable skills for their future.

We also welcome volunteers to support our operational work, such as sorting donated items, distributing preloved clothing or selling items that can not be donated to locals because they may not be culturally appropriate. These sales at local tourist markets help us raise essential funds to sustain and grow our programs.

Volunteering with the Happiness Foundation is not only a rewarding experience - it is also a beautiful opportunity to meet like-minded people and make new friends. Volunteer with us and be the change you wish to see!

Cook With Us At Our Community Kitchen

Every 2nd and 4th Sunday, our Community Kitchen brings like-minded volunteers together to cook Nasi Bungkus, a traditional Balinese dish, and distribute it to those in need.

It is always a joy to chop veggies, fry ingredients and master the art of Indonesian food-wrapping. After cooking, volunteers can join our delivery tour, bringing meals to communities facing food insecurity. It is a unique opportunity to explore Bali beyond the usual tourist spots and gain insight into the challenges faced by many locals.

Join us at Rolling Fork in Uluwatu at 8 AM for a fun morning of cooking, sharing and connecting!

Teach English To
Underpriviliged Children

Every 1st and 3rd Saturday, we teach English to underprivileged children, empowering them with valuable skills to shape a brighter future.

Did you know that in Bali, one stable job can often support an entire household? Speaking English opens doors to well-paid opportunities in the tourism industry, enabling these children to one day care for their parents and grandparents, contribute to their siblings' education and eventually support their own families. Learning English lays the foundation for these kids to have a real chance to break the cycle of poverty.

Join us at the Habitat Village in Uluwatu at 5 PM for an afternoon filled with purpose and learning!

"Volunteering with the Happiness Foundation has been an incredibly rewarding experience - allowing me to witness firsthand the positive impact this foundation has on the community."

What Our Wonderful Volunteers Say

Living in Uluwatu, I always wanted to give back, and I am so happy I found the Happiness Foundation! I've been helping sort through pre-loved clothes -deciding what can be donated to locals and what isn't culturally appropriate for them. The items that can not be donated are sold at tourist markets, with the funds going directly to support the Foundation’s programs.

The team is sooooo friendly and it feels incredible to contribute to something that helps the community I call home.

Teaching English to the kids is one of the best things I’ve ever done! The kids are so sweet and full of energy, and even though they don’t always get everything right away, they’re super excited to learn and try their best. It makes you feel so good knowing you’re helping them.

The whole vibe is super fun. We play games, do little activities, and laugh a lot, so it doesn’t feel like serious “teaching”—it’s just a great time. If you’re thinking about volunteering, you should definitely do it. The kids will totally steal your heart!

Helping out at the Community Kitchen is such a vibe! You don’t need to know how to cook or anything - they will show you what to do and it is actually really fun.

You get to work with super cool people and by the end, you’ve made a bunch of food that’s going to help people in need.

If you’re looking for a way to give back and have fun, this is it! Plus, the people you work with are so lovely - it’s like hanging out with a bunch of awesome new friends while doing something meaningful!

There is no minimum age to volunteer with us. For safety, we kindly ask that younger children are accompanied by a parent or guardian, especially during hands-on activities like cooking. Volunteering is a beautiful opportunity for all ages to learn, give back and grow together!
